THE CONSPIRACY IS OUT THERE

Virtually unknown a month ago, Christine O'Donnell rode a surge of support from "tea party" activists to victory in Delaware's Republican Senate primary Tuesday night, dealing yet another setback to the GOP establishment in a campaign season full of them. A second insurgent led narrowly for the GOP nomination in New Hampshire.

O'Donnell defeated nine-term Rep. Mike Castle, a fixture in Delaware politics for a generation and a political moderate. Republican Party officials, who had touted him as their only hope for winning the seat in the fall, made clear as the votes were being counted that they would not provide O'Donnell funding in the general-election campaign.

Am I the only one who finds this objectionable?

Shouldn’t the Republican party be supporting the candidate chosen by the people?

Anyone who read a certain leftist blog recently knows I am just a name-calling lunatic and a hopelessly brainwashed seed pod, not to mention a member of the right wing ilk. I am actually from the Philadelphia Ilks-a very distinguished branch of ilk, if I do say so myself.

But I digress.

Doesn’t it almost seem to be a bipartisan conspiracy where the Republican party will endorse a moderate, and then abandon the candidate chosen by the people.

If you’re going to not offer financial support to a candidate who cannot win, how did they justify supporting Dole in ’96 or McCain in ’08?

I hope Republicans in Delaware are smart enough to see that this is a travesty and pull their financial support from the party, and offer it directly to O’Donnell’s campaign.

I am thoroughly disgusted, although my good friend Stephen T called it! Look how quickly the Tea Party movement has been sidetracked by the Republican party.

Anyone who does not believe that both parties serve the same master is not looking closely enough at the man behind the curtain.

Because of the aforementioned leftist blogger who set me straight yesterday by telling me that it was a FACT that the Carter years were the second best presidency of the last half century, I am going to start a new movement in the Excremental Cowboy's honor.

Yes, because of my fond memories of gas lines, botched military rescue missions, the Chrysler bailout and 21% mortgage interest rates, I have decided to join the looney left and start….

THE DISCO PARTY

Join me! We may not accomplish any more for Socialism than the Tea Party will accomplish for silly things like freedom and individual responsibility, but at least we’ll score one victory.

We’ll be able to wear those great leisure suits (if we can fit into ‘em)!

  1. I've been hearing on the radio today that the party is starting to get behind Christine. Heck I'm still annoyed that Prop 8 was taken to court and will probably be overturned. They should just stop having elections and let the courts vote on everything.

  2. I know what you mean, Lee.

I know that the notion of the people having a voice is a sham, but can't they at least fake it a little?

Well, I wasn't going to say anything about it, but...

Yeah, I've heard of it. They're the Ilks that migrate to the right when the world spins left, aren't they?

I'm still trying to figure out why you were saying such complimentary things about Ron Paul the other day if in fact you've been brainwashed by CNN and Fox News. I know you didn't pick up all that appreciation for "Doctor No" from THOSE sources.

THE DISCO PARTY - count me in! I'm gonna get on down with my bad self and party like it's 2011.
