On this blog, I'm going to leave the CD's on the shelf and vent my frustrations with the current state of political affairs.
Our country has problems.
Our tax burden is worse than our founding fathers fought a revolution over.
Our Federal government has grown into a monstrosity that would make Paul Revere start riding again.
We're back...in the United States' Socialist Republic!

THE STATE OF THE UNION MUST BE FINE
...since I have not been inspired to rant at anything lately...
While you're waiting for me to be inspired, or just ticked off, if you're looking at Republican candidates, listen to what this man has to say...
I don't think I could ever classify myself as a Republican; I'm pretty sure I'd choke to death on the words. In my lifetime--at least in the years since I was first capable of independent thought--the Republicans that I've seen in office have inflicted unspeakable harm on the nation. In all fairness, so have their Democratic counterparts. The whole lot of them need solid ass-kickings, and yet the closest that most Americans are willing to go toward delivering that ass-kicking is pissing and moaning about politics on Facebook.
All that being said, Ron Paul is looking like the stand-out best choice for 2012. I still can't use the R-word.

Maybe you can enlighten us as to why the right wing media is ignoring Republican, Ron Paul.

ReplyDeleteStephen T. McCarthy has a couple of great posts on Ron Paul over at his blog:

As for why the right wing media is ignoring Ron Paul...first I think we'd have to find some right wing media.
They are all left, and not so left.

I happen to be registered R, but think they as full of poo as the other party.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I will be able to vote RP in the primary.
The biggest coup the political parties has pulled off in America is the polarization.
You're either Red Team or Blue Team.
Then they just let the whole Super Bowl mentality take over.
"My team rules, yours sucks"
By realizing that BOTH PARTIES have inflicted harm on the nation, you've seen behind the curtain.
